Adept at analyzing the real estate market for condominium developers such as K. Hovnanian and Roseland Property Company, Shannon has navigated the NYC new developments landscape, generating unprecedented value per square foot for residential development with innovative planning and design strategies. Shannon earned praise for strictly interpreting DC zoning regulations to meticulously review Washington DC permit applications as a Zoning Engineer for the DC Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs, experience he now employs to deliver zoning consultation to homeowners and developers alike.

As a Senior Consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton, Shannon enhanced the Belvoir New Vision work plan, the planning and development program by which Virginia’s Ft. Belvoir would become a world-class urban federal center, among the largest of the premiere US LEED-ND communities. At the Boston Redevelopment Authority, Shannon counseled Goldman Properties and Goldman Sachs’ Archon Group on integrating cultural programming into their redevelopment of Boston’s Fort Point Channel. Shannon also co-authored an award-winning mixed-use, transit-oriented, green adaptive reuse proposal for the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston, engaging his visionary approach to sustainable, lifestyle-driven urban development.

Shannon graduated with a BA in Government from Harvard University before earning a Masters in City Planning from MIT. He serves on the Citizens Association of Georgetown's Historic Preservation and Zoning Committee.
